Adam Mosseri announced some BIGGG changes happening on the platform over the next few months.

These changes are expected to have a positive impact on creators, so let's see what they are:

✨ Instagram RANKING has changed

✨ Instagram is using DIRECT REPLACE to find an original piece of content rather than a reshared piece of content (this drives reach to the original creator, rather than an account that got big by sharing other people's content)

✨ Instagram is shifting its focus to recommending more original content creators and driving reach to their pages and posts

✨ The new algorithm gives every Reel a chance by showing it to non-followers first through audience matching

✨ If you are a small creator, this should help you reach an audience much larger than your following

Basically, Instagram has owned up to its mistake of pushing large creators and not supporting the small guys! I'm SO curious to see how this will impact small business accounts 👀
